PEEK (Polyether-ether-ether-ketone)

PEEK Plastics

PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone) plastics are high-performance engineering thermoplastics used in various industries due to their excellent mechanical properties, chemical resistance, and high-temperature performance. PEEK polymer plastics can maintain stiffness at high temperatures and are suitable for continuous use at temperatures up to 338°F (170°C).

PEEK Plastics Characteristics

PEEK grades offer chemical and hydrolysis resistance like PPS but can operate at higher temperatures. Unreinforced, extruded PEEK offers good wear resistance and can be used continuously to 480°F (250°C). It can also be used in hot water or steam without permanently losing physical properties.
For hostile environments, PEEK is a high-strength alternative to fluoropolymers. PEEK carries a V-O flammability rating and exhibits very low smoke and toxic gas emissions when exposed to flame—it can maintain structural and Chemical Integrity to 480°F (250°C).
