LDPE - Low Density Polyethylene Sheet

LDPE is an extruded polyethylene plastic. It is lightweight, flexible, and versatile. It's also nontoxic, odorless, and chemical resistant. LDPE can be recognized by its milky white translucent appearance. It also has a relatively low working temperature, soft surface, and low tensile strength. LDPE is more flexible than HDPE, which makes it a good choice for prosthetic devices, most of which are either drape-formed or vacuum-formed.

The impact resistance of LDPE also makes it a natural choice for impact pads. Easy to machine and form, LDPE is also used for fabricated parts where chemical and corrosion resistance is demanded.
